About the Bloggers...

Min Cedeno is a middle school mathematics teacher in a New Jersey urban school district.  This is her seventh year teaching seventh grade mathematics.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Arts with minors in psychology and math.  Most recently, she acquired her Master's degree in Teaching Middle Grades Mathematics.  She has worked for various inner city middle and high school programs throughout the years from peer counseling to teaching to mentoring.  Within her district, she served four years on her school's professional development committee, has been involved in vertical articulation between the elementary and middle schools and has taken part in the district's technology initiatives.  This past summer, she was involved in a cohort of teachers and a local university's staff in creating a graduate level curriculum for training incoming math and science teachers. Her interests as a teacher include include use of concrete and virtual manipulatives in the math classroom, technology and social media to enhance learning, and the merging of the arts and mathematics.
